My name is Sam Newbold. I used to work with Lynn Shell and Robert Farmer at Outer Banks Boarding Co. I was one of their managers, ran the website, ding guy, all purpose guy I guess. A couple of years ago I decided to go back to school. I’m in law school now and living in NYC. I surf as much as I can out at Rockaway and Long Beach.
Years ago I got a custom board from you, in the same shipment you made Farmer a magic s-core he raved about. The board you made me was insane. It was one of the best boards I’ve ever had. Farmer and I always said the boards you made for us were some of the best riding boards we’ve ever had, frequently commenting on how much better we surfed on them than any of our other boards.
I’m wanting to get a new board for the spring/summer and I would be stoked to have you shape me another magic carpet. The board you made me before was 6′2″ x 19″ x 2 5/16″. That is bit wider than I normally ride, but for some reason I don’t want to put a hex on those dimensions. Are you making any parabolics or fun stuff like that these days? I love different materials, but PU is gold too.
Can you give me a price quote for a custom and what it would be to ship it to New York? Also, if you are working on any new designs or new materials that you would suggest, let me know.
